Based in Naarm, Melbourne, South African–born composer and producer Luna Chorus creates cinematic electronic music designed to support story, emotion, and visual narrative. Her work blends atmospheric sound design, evolving synths, and deep low-end with a strong sense of mood, tension, and release, making it well suited to film, television, and screen media.
A pianist and flutist in her youth, Luna Chorus brings a strong musical foundation to her productions. Alongside her work as a composer, she has spent the past 20 years as an art and design educator, a background that has shaped her sensitivity to pacing, contrast, and emotional impact – key elements in her approach to sync-focused composition.
Her recent music moves beyond the dance floor into cinematic territory, drawing inspiration from science fiction, space travel, and imagined worlds. While rooted in electronic music, her sound incorporates cinematic textures, haunting vocal layers, and carefully structured builds and edit points tailored for licensing.
